Saved steps and guides on your device

When you choose to save a checklist, guide, or lesson checkmark, we use this browser’s local storage to keep the selected resource IDs and completion choices on your device. These choices aren’t sent to our inquiry database or synced across devices. Don’t use this feature on a shared device if you don’t want others to see your selected topics. You can clear your plan on My Next Steps or remove it through your browser settings. Storage may be unavailable in some browser modes; the site will tell you when it can’t save.

Resource searches and starting-point answers are processed in the page. Feedback links prepare an editable contact message; feedback isn’t submitted until you submit that form. If you do, the contact-form practices below apply.

Everyday Money Organizer

Organizer entries are stored in this browser on this device when storage is available. The workbook does not transmit entries to our inquiry database. Exported backups and printed copies are under your control. Avoid using it on shared devices, use nicknames rather than account numbers, and clear entries when finished. Browser storage can be lost; export backups regularly.

DIY dispute drafting workspace

The workspace assembles text locally in your browser. It does not send your entries to our inquiry database or an AI provider, and does not save them in local storage. Copying a prompt into an external AI tool is your choice and is subject to that provider’s privacy practices. Keep identifiers and sensitive documents out of the workspace and AI prompts. Downloaded drafts remain under your control; browser form history or extensions may retain information.

Calculator information

Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and aren't submitted to us. There is no account, report upload, or credit pull. Values reset when you reload. Downloaded examples and worksheets are saved on your device.

Connections and external links

The host may process standard access logs. Google Fonts receives normal connection information when fonts load. External resources have their own privacy policies; only enter sensitive details after confirming the official destination.

Contact form information

When you submit an inquiry, Mile Forward receives and stores your name, email, optional phone number, optional message, and the choices you make on the form. A phone number is required only when you choose SMS replies. SMS consent and acceptance of Terms and Privacy are separate choices; neither checkbox is preselected.

We use this information to receive and review your inquiry, provide customer care, and document your consent choices. Each submission includes a server-generated reference and timestamp, the page it came from, your SMS choice, acceptance of Terms and Privacy, and a copy of the disclosures and policies associated with that submission. Records are stored server-side and are accessible through an owner-restricted inbox, rather than being published on the site.

We use our website hosting and database service providers to process and store these records. To help prevent abuse, we temporarily retain a cryptographic identifier derived from your network address with request counts; we don't store your raw network address in the inquiry or consent record. The hosting provider may maintain separate access and security logs.

Inquiry and consent records are retained as needed for customer care, documenting permissions, resolving disputes, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can request access, correction, or deletion through Contact Us; some records may need to be retained for legal or compliance purposes. Please don't submit credit reports, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal information.

Mobile information and SMS consent

We don't sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent won't be shared with third parties except messaging aggregators and service providers as necessary to deliver the requested messaging service. Consent to customer-care texts doesn't authorize affiliate marketing or unrelated messages.

Customer-care messaging disclosures

The proposed Mile Forward SMS program is limited to replies and follow-up about your own inquiry concerning website access, educational resources, or finding content. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. SMS consent is optional and isn't a condition of purchase or access to our free resources.

When messaging is active, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms for the program details. Text replies aren't active yet. The form saves your preference but doesn't send text messages or start an SMS subscription.

Privacy questions

Use Contact Us for questions about your information or consent choices. Keep your submission reference when making a request. We’ll update this policy if our handling of inquiries or messaging changes.
