Down payment timeline
Set a goal and see how monthly saving changes your timeline.
Assumes consistent end-of-month savings, no withdrawals, and no interest. Taxes, fees, and emergency reserves are separate. The target is your choice, not a lender requirement.
When could I pay it off?
Compare your planned payment with an extra-payment scenario.
Fixed APR; monthly interest approximation; payments at month end; no new purchases, fees, or rate changes. Actual card interest often accrues daily. This isn't a settlement or repayment agreement.
Look beyond the sticker price.
Fixed-rate, fully amortizing loan estimate. Excludes trade-in debt, insurance, fuel, maintenance, and unlisted add-ons. Actual disclosures and lender terms control.
Credit utilization check
Balances ÷ limits × 100. This doesn't calculate a score. Individual card usage can also matter. A target is a planning example, not a guaranteed scoring threshold.
Make room for the full cost.
Use nonoverlapping categories. Transportation should include loan payment, insurance, fuel, maintenance, and registration. A positive remainder isn't an affordability recommendation; account for irregular expenses too.
